Message from Vincent W. Colonno, Chief Executive Officer

Right now, we are grieving – grieving for George Floyd, for Ahmaud Arbery, for Breonna Taylor, for Michael Brown and for countless others who’ve been victimized by racial violence.

At Catholic Charities, we denounce racism, violence and hatred. It is a part of our mission to respond to and empower all persons, regardless of race, creed or lifestyle, and to advocate for a just society.

We stand with the members of our community who are actively speaking out against racism and who are taking steps to educate and advocate against racism in our country. We believe we can make a difference, but we must continue to be vigilant in addressing racial injustices.

We understand that many of you are upset, frustrated, and fearful. Please know that we are with you and we are here for you, especially our black and brown community members, staff, volunteers, and friends. Together, we must build a stronger and better community.

Take Care, Stay Safe, and God Bless,
